Pain de Mie
Sandwich Bread

A French staple. It is sandwich bread with a soft, thin outer layer and soft crumb. It is typically made in a Pullman loaf pan for a near perfect square slice but can be baked in an open top pan to let it crown a bit. Either way, you get a wonderfully dense bread with lots of flavor. It will hold up to any sandwich toppings you can put on it and makes GREAT grilled cheese! We offer our Pain de Mie in white and wheat versions. We also have a fantastic cinnamon raisin swirl for a tasty snack, French toast, or morning toast with coffee!
